A useful follow-up continues a conversation. It does not ask the buyer to start again.

Leave a note your future self can use

“Interested” is not much to work with. Capture the preferred area, the budget range, the decision timeline, and the question that is still unanswered. Keep the note short enough to read before a call.

Agree on the next step

Ask when it makes sense to speak again. A buyer waiting for a loan decision needs a different next step from someone ready to view a home this weekend. Record the date and the purpose of the next conversation.

Close the loop

After the call, update the remark and the next action together. If the buyer is no longer looking, record that outcome too. A clear record is more useful than a long list of untouched enquiries.
