A handover should move the relationship forward without losing the details that matter.
Make the owner visible
Assign one person to take the next action. Shared visibility is useful; unclear responsibility is not. When ownership changes, make the change explicit.
Write for the next person
Use remarks that explain what happened and what has been agreed. Include the buyer’s open question and the promised next step. Avoid vague notes that require another internal call.

Review the handover
Confirm that the new owner has the context they need. The goal is a smooth conversation for the buyer, without repeated introductions and repeated questions.
